We are seeking four postdocs for our project “Towards monitoring, understanding and forecasting Global Biomass flows of Aerial Migrants (GloBAM)”.

GloBAM is a BioDivERsa (www.biodiversa.org) research project with partners in Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, The Netherlands and the USA. Within GloBAM, we aim at quantifying the biomass flows of aerial migrants across spatial and temporal scales in Europe and North America from weather radar data. We are particularly interested in identifying the drivers of movements and migrant abundances such as atmospheric, climatic and landscape/habitat variables.

Two of these postdoc positions will be based at the Swiss Ornithological Institute, Sempach, Switzerland (https://www.vogelwarte.ch/en/vogelwarte/getting-involved/job-vacancies/), one at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands (http://www.uva.nl/en/content/vacancies/2018/12/18-782-postdoctoral-researcher-in-aeroecology-of-avian-migration.html?z), and one at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, USA; please see http://www.enram.eu/globam/ for updates and links to the individual advertisements.
