Profile information
I am an evolutionary and behavioral ecologist with a keen interest in conservation. I am
particularly interested in how nest microclimate influences growth and survival during
the early stages of life, and its interaction with climate change related temperature
increases, which has been the main topic of my PhD at the University of Padua (Italy).
In previous years (during my MSc, at the University of Southern Denmark), I studied
how nestbox design influences temperatures perceived inside the nest, and how these
designs can effectively buffer extreme weather events, such as high temperatures due to
heatwaves. In the future, I want to further investigate how animals cope with climate
change during the different stages of reproduction and focus on what we can do to adapt
and mitigate conservation plans considering predicted climate change scenarios.
