The 7th International Eurasian Ornithology Congress (IEOC 2020) will be held between 22 and 26 April 2020 at Ege University, İzmir, Turkey. İzmir is a lovely town with a famous old city (Ephesus, the house of virgin marry, etc.) and important bird area Gediz Delta. The delta is a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA), Ramsar site, satisfies IBA criteria for 32 bird species and holds important populations of some globally threatened species. The delta hosts 117 different breeding bird species and over 300 bird species. The delta is famous for a lot of species. These included are Flamingos (about 18,000 breeding pairs), Dalmatian Pelicans (164 breeding pairs), Little Bittern, Ruddy Shelduck, Lesser Kestrel, Spur-winged Lapwing, Stone Curlew, Sandwich Tern, Little Tern, Gull-billed Tern, Caspian tern, Common Tern, Whiskered tern, Black-winged Stilt, Collared Pratincole, Pallid Swift, Rufous-tailed Scrub-robin, Cinereous Bunting, and many more.
