Profile information

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Antwerp (Belgium), researching how urban
landscapes and social behaviour influence the spread of socially transmitted
diseases. My current project integrates molecular screening, immuno-ecology,
behavioural ecology, and urban landscape analyses to examine how Chlamydia
psittaci dynamics in feral pigeons are shaped by individual social behaviour and
environmental factors such as pollution and habitat fragmentation. Beyond my current
project, I am interested in human–urban bird conflicts, with a focus on how
management practices, public perceptions, and human activities shape the behaviour
and distribution of birds in cities.
