Profile information
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre in Germany.
My work explores how individual phenotypic variation and ecological factors shape intraspecific
interactions, and how these dynamics influence key biological processes such as reproduction and
information transmission. In my current project, I investigate the impacts of human activities on animal
movement and social interactions. Specifically, I study alpine choughs (Pyrrhocorax graculus) in the
German and Austrian Alps to understand how recreation activities and anthropogenic food sources affect
their behaviour. I examine individual differences in the birds’ use of anthropogenic resources and the
consequences for dyadic associations, assess how spatiotemporal variation in resource availability
structures animal movement and social networks, and test whether such resources influence population-
level processes. To address these questions, I combine GPS tracking, behavioural observations, and field
experiments with analytical approaches including social network analysis and network-based diffusion
models.
