I have just started as a senior curator at the Finnish Museum of Natural History where my responsibility is to lead various long-term monitoring schemes on bird populations. My previous research (during the last 10 years) has mostly dealt with behavioral and evolutionary ecology of birds, but I have also done some work on climate and habitat change effects on birds. These latter issues are also going to be in a major role in my future research, which will more than previously focus on population and movement ecology and conservation biology.
